Ever stand in front of your closet and have nothing to wear? Well, imagine going through that every day for about a year. I had a very distinct style in college, sort of a modified bohemian look.
I. Am. So. Over. It.**
Though I’ll wait until the end of summer – because let’s face it, all I’m wearing right now is business casual anyway – to go out and bulk up my small wardrobe, I’ve already started window shopping. Here are some of my favorite pieces I’ve come across. I’m not the biggest shoe person, so I really wouldn’t mind wearing a neutral flat like the pointed one below, all the time.
It’s not a huge style departure, just more… ironed. Ultimately, I want my new clothes to help tell my story. In this new stage of my life, I want someone to know by simply looking at me, “Boy, she is put-together and focused!” Then, I’ll open my mouth and confirm it.
**I don’t believe anyone should be wed to one particular look ALL the time… and I don’t think I could give up my baggy carefree clothes for good! But I’m tired of this being my main appearance.
Thoughts? Have you gone through a style evolution?
