My Back to School Inspiration Playlist

With less than two weeks left of my summer vacation, I’m starting to stress heading back to school and becoming responsible for myself again (I mean, who wants that?). Even though fixing up my resume and completing my studying abroad application (I can’t wait to be in Spain!) isn’t that difficult, mentally getting back into the groove of school is kicking my butt.

Luckily, music’s there to make everything a lot less boring.

People have described my taste in music as “campy,” which I think is just another way of saying amazing. Be warned, if you’re not a fan of guitars, British accents, and raspy voices this playlist may just cause you to fall asleep instead of inspiring you to get things done.

campy, campy music

There’s not really much reason as to why I chose these songs, besides the fact that I love them and that they’re found playing in my dorm room pretty much 24/7. “I know that after tooonight, you don’t have to look up at the stars. No, no, no, no!” (P.S. That’s a campy little tidbit from Justin Nozuka. P.S.S. I’ve loved him since he was the VH1 You Oughta Know artist when I was in the 9th grade. P.S.S.S. I got to meet him because I was a total creeper with my friend when he came to perform at my school. It was so worth it. We even got pictures and autographs before anyone noticed we were there. :))

Are there any recent, preferably campy, songs you’re really into? What pumps you up and helps you get into the mood to work, especially when you don’t want to? Do you ever get nervous? Are you single? (I swear Drake has made it impossible for me to ask more than two questions without saying that.)

Anyway, share your songs below or head on over to our Facebook page and leave your comments there!

xoxo, Jessica
