Last weekend I went to Wal-Mart for one thing and somehow left with ten. (You know how that goes.) One of the items that I purchased was the Neutrogena Wave Original Vibrating Power-Cleanser. I decided on the original version of the power-cleanser because I have sensitive skin and the spinning head of the Wave Sonic Spinning Power-Cleanser sounded a little intimidating.
The Neutrogena Wave Original Vibrating Power-Cleanser promises softer skin after just one use. That’s a pretty bold claim and for under $15, I thought it would be worth putting it to the test. The cleanser comes with 14 blue colored pads that have a smooth side to stick to the velcro-like top of the device and a more textured side for your face. After I attached the pad, I ran it under the faucet and waited for it to start foaming. And waited… And waited. Nothing happened. I eventually turned off the water for fear that I would remove all of the cleanser on the pad.
Excuse the eyebrows guys; I’ve been growing them out! We’ll use this as my “before” picture.
I turned on the power-cleanser and started to swipe it across my face. It foamed a little bit more, but not as much as I thought it would. Next time, I’ll try rubbing the pad with my fingers while I run the water on it.
One thing that you should know about the Neutrogena Wave Original Vibrating Power-Cleanser is that it’s really loud. Like almost embarrassingly so! Haha. But, once I got past the loud buzzing, I really started to like it. I could feel my face getting exfoliated way more than any face scrub I’ve ever used. I rinsed off the cleanser and wooow. My face was super soft, but I did notice that it brought some whiteheads to surface that weren’t there before. I turned the power cleanser back on, exfoliated a little longer, and they were gone.
After using the power-cleanser. Helloooo smaller pores.
And the best part is that my face felt great all day. I’m going to use the power-cleanser everyday and I’ll give an update in about a week to see if I’m still in love with it. So, here are my final thoughts on the Neutrogena Wave Original Vibrating Power-Cleanser in one sentence:
Even though the power-cleanser doesn’t foam as much as I thought it would, I still get a deep clean that leaves my face feeling soft and smooth all day.
Have you ever used the Neutrogena Wave Original Vibrating Power-Cleanser? What’s your favorite cleanser? Hope everyone’s had a great Memorial Day weekend!
